Placement & Referrals
Placements
Here at Penn Inspires we provide warm and nurturing environments and surroundings, affording young people the opportunity to feel secure, to reflect and develop coping mechanism that will enhance their level of resilience and confidence, allowing everyone the opportunity to grow and develop. Our placements are “HOMES” for children/young people.

We specialise in working with boys and girls between the ages of 8-17, upon admission.
Children/young people referred to Penn Inspires predominately present emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) with associated complex needs and may have experienced significant traumatic episodes in their formative years.
Many of the children/young people referred to us have extensive unmet needs, troubled individual and troubled family histories and may have experienced significant placement instability.
Our dedicated and experienced staff teams aim to provide a safe environment built upon stability and continuity of care which supports a sense of intrinsic worth thus providing a platform for a planned and structured transition into adulthood.
Referrals
We will require all relevant background information to enable us to make an informed decision as to whether we are able to offer a placement and meet the needs of the young person.
Unfortunately we are unable to care or provide support for young people with severe physical disabilities or a diagnosed mental illness that if untreated may place the young person and others at risk of harm.
